I offer a free first consult call because I understand that clients may not know or understand how hypnotherapy works. This session gives them the chance to find out more, discuss their goals, and learn the science behind this fascinating therapy.

So, what can you expect from my sessions?

My Hypnotherapy sessions are structured to enable talking therapy to be carried out in an empathetic and mindful way, whilst engaging a solution focused approach and incorporating hypnosis to help reinforce the new positive neuro pathways.

Distance Hypnotherapy Sessions

I’m a clinical Hypnotherapist / Psychotherapist and I work here within the southwest. I’m able to work with you either face to face, or able to connect with you over Zoom, so distance or location isn’t a problem, it’s simply what you feel most comfortable with.

One-to-One

I provide hypnotherapy sessions in a calm, friendly environment at my clinic for anybody in the Plymouth region. Arrange a session that fits in with your schedule today.

Within this therapy we work as a team, building new foundations for you to set and achieve your goals and enable you to move forward from your therapy in a positive, helpful way in a relative short period of time.

More info about your session

The initial consultation will last around 40-50min, then each further session, around 50-60 min. I will explain how the brain works in a simple and brief explanation, based on neuro-scientific research. This will include why our problems and challenges affect us in the way that they do and, more importantly, what we can do about it.

I will also explain how Hypnotherapy can help you get to where you want to be, and how many sessions it is likely to take, although this is can be only used as guide.

This First Consult Call is currently free.

For general therapy please allow 1 hour for each session, this would include anxiety, depression and stress management. Confidence, sleep problems, menopause, PTSD, OCD and weight management.

Stop Smoking is normally a one-off session of between 90 minutes to 2 hours. Fear and Phobia therapy packages available: Minimum 3 appointments needed.

Clinic and online, Terms & Conditions:

1.Payment is required prior to appointments either by direct bank transfer, if possible, or cash upon arrival. Please refer to the cancellation policy below and also note that the full amount is payable when booking a course of 8 sessions. These will be valid for 12 weeks from when payment is made.
2. Please make sure you are on time for your appointment.
3. If you have to cancel your appointment, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations should be made verbally via telephone, text message or email.
4. Same day cancellation, forgotten or missed appointments will be charged in full.
5. Please note I am a registered and qualified Hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and am not medically trained, therefore I would always recommend you seek the advice of a GP prior to entering into any form of therapy if you have any ongoing medical issues or concerns, which maybe a contraindication to receiving therapy.

What to expect

Your first session? – Your initial hypnotherapy session is a great opportunity for you to talk about what you would like help with, and the objectives that you hope to achieve. After discussing the basics, I usually explain in detail how the brain functions and happily answer any queries you might have about the process. This ensures you have a really clear understanding of how everything works before entering the trance part of the session. By understanding this process, you will be empowered to make your desired changes and take control of your life.

What is the Trance State? – We all go into a trance-like state many times throughout the day unknowingly. This kind of experience is quite common while driving or jogging where we are completely focused on the task at hand but our minds are free to explore other thoughts. It’s often described as a daydreaming sort of feeling.

How should I prepare for Hypnotherapy?

Take a moment to consider:

What would you like to achieve by coming to therapy?

Are you ready to make the change?

Can you commit to the time and the cost which private therapy requires to achieve your desired goal?

It is advisable to seek medical advice prior to therapy if you are experiencing any ongoing medical issues, or anything else which is a concerned to you, or you feel maybe of relevance within receiving therapy. This could include if you are receiving any other form of therapy currently.

Jot down anything which you feel you would like to address during therapy, or if you have any questions you wish to ask.
Make sure you plan your journey prior to your session to allow for traffic or public transport issues, this will help you to be more relaxed and calmer about your session and allows your brain to prepare for the new event and be more pleasurable for you.
