My Hypnotherapy sessions are structured to enable talking therapy to be carried out in an empathetic and mindful way, whilst engaging within a solution focused approach.
Within this therapy we work as a team, building new foundations for the client to set and achieve your goals and enable you to move forward from your therapy in a positive helpful way, within a relative short period of time.
The psychotherapy part helps you address underlying issues, Without dwelling on your problems or painful past experiences. My focus is on helping you to understand how your brain works, and how you can use it to change negative thoughts and behaviours which your brain has created a pattern match for. Within the second part of the session, we then change these unhelpful neuro pathways and replace them with positive, helpful, and healthy pathways, creating positive change.
The latter part of the session wherein we use Hypnosis and this could be described as an ideal state of learning for the brain, or maybe the analogy such as gym for the brain.
It is a very natural state and one which we all enter many times throughout our everyday, such as driving a car, running or working out, listening to music or simply watching television.
It replicates a very powerful and transformative sleep stage called REM when the brain is relaxed and calm, meaning that the brain is more suggestible.
It does not mean that clients are under the spell of a hypnotherapist, in fact, quite the opposite is true. What I can promise is that with engagement and us working together will be the feeling of relaxation within and a calm state of mind, ready to embrace your new exciting journey.
Clients are often well attuned to the hypnotherapist’s words but can reduce other noises and traffic in their brains to let their minds focus on solutions at both a conscious and subconscious level.
While some therapies have been and gone, hypnotherapy has been a very successful therapy for many years and remains so today. We are seeing considerable evidence-based research to show the effectiveness and long-term potential in receiving hypnotherapy.
The fundamental understanding of using the modern neuroscience within the therapy which I offer, gives my clients the tools, understanding and ownership with the day to day running of their lives. It helps by enabling new positive behaviours within a solution-focused approach.
I offer a free initial consultation because I understand that clients may not know or understand how hypnotherapy works. This session gives them the chance to find out more, discuss their goals, and learn the science behind this fascinating therapy without the obligation to commit to further sessions.
