Hypnotherapy can be a useful tool in the treatment of addictions because it addresses the underlying psychological and emotional factors that contribute to addictive behaviour.

During hypnotherapy sessions, I can guide you into a relaxed, trance-like state, where you become more open to suggestion and are better able to access the subconscious mind. In this state, we can help the to identify the root causes of the addiction.

Once the underlying issues are identified, I can help you to develop coping strategies to manage the triggers and cravings. This will involve visualising positive outcomes, learning relaxation techniques, or using self-affirmations to boost self-esteem and confidence. This can help you to change subconscious beliefs and associations about addictive substances or behaviours and replace them with developing a more positive self-image and sense of identity, as most often when we struggle with an addiction we experience feelings of shame, guilt, and worthlessness, which can fuel the addictive behaviours. Therefore, can help to challenge negative self-talk and cultivate a more positive mindset, which can greatly support your recovery journey.
